Fantasy Press published a series of science fiction books from the early 1940s to the early 1960s featuring most notably the "Lensman" books of E.E. "Doc" Smith along with other luminaries in the field. A trio(?) of paperbacks were also issued under the The Golden Science Fiction Library colophon.

Each volume is bound in quarter leather and has specially set "series" title pages and limitation pages. This set was issued in clear plastic dust jackets instead of printed ones, and was packed in a gift box with a lid.)*
